Its primary mission is to secure Indian airspace and conduct aerial warfare during conflicts. However, the IAF's role extends far beyond warfare—it also provides humanitarian assistance, disaster relief, and international peacekeeping support. As citizens of India, we take immense pride in our Air Force for its unwavering commitment, heroism, and contributions to national security and global peace.

During the Kargil War in 1999, Operation Safed Sagar demonstrated the might of the IAF when it successfully neutralized enemy positions at high altitudes. More recently, the Balakot airstrike in 2019 showcased India’s ability to carry out precise and powerful retaliatory action, reinforcing the message that India will defend its sovereignty with determination.

The IAF is equipped with a formidable fleet, including the Sukhoi Su-30MKI, Mirage 2000, Rafale jets, and a range of helicopters and transport aircraft. This modern arsenal reflects India's growing technological prowess and its commitment to maintaining peace through strength. Furthermore, the integration of indigenous technologies like the HAL Tejas fighter jet is a testament to India’s self-reliance in defense.

Apart from defense, the Indian Air Force plays a crucial role in humanitarian missions. Whether it’s rescuing people during floods, airlifting stranded citizens, or delivering relief supplies in earthquake-hit areas, the IAF has consistently been at the forefront.
